Doherty was never anywhere near close enough to do anything about it, Bennett was the one who should've picked him up but completely switched off from what Moura was doing and just ball watching as it went wide.

Last 3 goals against have all been appalling displays of basic concentration and marking.

The reason Doc wasn't anywhere near close enough is that he was casually jogging back as he always does, not good enough everyone else was marking we needed him back.

Bennett is already marking someone, you can't expect him to be responsible for both Kane and Moura.

When the ball is on the edge of the box Bennett is nearest Moura, it goes wide and he starts day dreaming, he shouldn't be interested in Kane and no way Doherty can come that narrow to pick up Moura, his last minute dash to get in there is about all you can hope for. The problem is in the middle of the box and that ain't Doherty's fault.

Horseshit it's the extra man and all 3 CBs were marking it's basic stuff Bennett comes across and it's a simple pass and a 2 yard tap in. Doc is consistently fucking up and it's not good enough. He has been brilliant since that fuck up perhaps because he realises but it's all too little too late.

He should have an assist now but I would rather he just did the basics first.

Tbf it's difficult to overstate just how poor the defending was for their goals. If we're gonna lose, fine, but I think we'd all prefer to make them work for it. We haven't really done that today so far.

Jonny's one footedness down the left costing us a bit I think. He's got a left but it obviously isn't that good.
Doherty miles onside. Doesn't help a team that doesn't score many when decisions like that are going against you. Shocking.

No chance any wingback would ever be marking Moura for that chance, he's in a central position for the entire move so one of the central players have to pick him up. A wingback isn't going to come narrow enough to just be a free man watching the back stick, it's not going to happen.

If that move's mirrored there's no way you're slagging off Jonny.

Both wingbacks not good enough today Otto I can forgive but it's all too common in the other side. That said we scored a perfectly good goal terrible decision there.

For me Dendoncker and Vinny come on at HT with Bennett and Doc going off.

Poor defending on both goals, you can’t switch off against a team of this quality. A shame as we have played very well and with some better decision making in the final third could have created a lot more

I think we're playing pretty well - but if we want to be at Spurs' level what we're seeing is players we are clearly not good enough. Costa, Doherty, Bennett. That's no disrespect to any of them, just a simple fact that they are not top 6 players. Throw Cav and Jimenez in there as well. We're doing really well for a promoted team, but you don't buy a top 6 side in one transfer window and it is showing

Going forward Doc has done well to be honest we’ve created more down that side
