Things that make you SAD thread.

"Yes, of course - the game will be rubbish but that's only 5% of the whole occasion!"

I think Mini Langers has a bit more respect for me at the moment - we're so bad and he's not used to it, so he often asks why I put up with the decades of mediocrity pre-McCarthy/Nuno. I just told him that you stick with your club - the good times feel SO much better if you've had to suffer the bad times.

Glory hunters will never understand this.
I’ve got two daughters, first two games for the eldest were the Rotherham 6-4 and the 3-0 celebration v Carlisle. The youngest was v Crusaders. It’s been downhill from there. We don’t talk about football much at the moment.

I took my 11 year old daughter to the 6-4 game. Afterwards I told her she had seen history, but don’t expect to ever see 10 goals in a game again!

spicy tomato snaps being discontinued (also, the crisps thread no longer existing)
Was looking for them recently and couldn't find them, didn't know they gone until you said this. Gutted! One of my favourites.

Are spicy tomato bacon wheat crunchies still available?

Heard today that my best mate from school past away yesterday. Spent the afternoon remembering stuff we did at school, fishing, going miles on our push bikes, our early motorcycling together. He was my best man and me his.
Feeling bad and guilty as after being really close for 50 years, the last 15 we drifted apart for no particular reason. Saw his wife just over a year ago and she said he hadnt been well for a while due to alcoholism. He went into hospital just before Christmas with loss of blood from his kidneys from cirrhosis.
Maybe I could've helped him, he always enjoyed a drink but hadnt realised he'd sunk into such a serious problem.
Look after yourselves and those that you're close too if you're able.
