There goes Julen!

You've seen players, who have never met a bloke completely refuse to play for him? That's interesting stuff.

Bookmark it, I offered to bet you a grand on it a few pages ago but you conveniently ignored that offer. Easy money for you as all teams need to do is bid for them and they'll be off.
Not a bloke they've never met but I have seen players refuse to play for somebody incoming into a job yes.

I've also seen first hand players tell their agents they want out of a club.

I'll ignore your last paragraph as that kind of vulgar bet disgusts me.

Sell everything and buy nothing. Dump a decent manager and hire a shit one. I applaud your staying power compared to mine but while I support Wolves as well Fosun are making it very fucking unenjoyable to do so. They’ve really taken the jam out of my donut.
That's football though isn't it.

You've been following us for about the same amount of time as I have, we've not been very good for most of it. That isn't the point of the whole endeavour. If it were then I'd just fake support Man City as they're ace.

Sir Jack made some absolutely woeful calls in his time and him being a Wolves fan didn't/doesn't dress any of that up. Morgan made multiple worse calls than Fosun ever have.

He did and to his credit he knew when his time was up.

I haven't disputed either of those things happen, that's the world of football. What I am arguing is that players won't refuse to play for someone they don't have any prior relationship with.

Players who tell their agents they want out generally have a reason to do so, other clubs interest for example. I think you are overestimating the interest in a player who couldn't get in the team in his natural position for an entire season and contributed very little in goals and assists. Gomes is still an unknown quantity aswell to anyone but wolves fans.

Cunha was available for ages from Atletico and no one signed him.

There just isn't interest in any of them.

Sorry mate. I’ve got to drive my family hours at great expense to watch this twat we’ve just employed stink the place out, all for no good fckin reason. Take your cheeriness and do one for a bit at least. I’m pissed off. But, happy for you you think it’s good.
Don’t take it out on me, I’m here the same as you.

Graham Potter not available, presumably?

We've now regressed to being a proper relegation fodder team. To finally get a quality manager who they'd chased for years, only for him to walk out after less than a season. What a mess.

And you’re bang on. For me it’s just such blatant mismanagement was so avoidable, they’d put us within touching distance of becoming a very good club and the foundations to push on were all there. The regression seems to be as rapid as the rise and it’s such waste. Fosun took us further than Sir Jack or Morgan ever could and should have capitalised but actively look to be doing the opposite and I don’t get it.

I guess that Wolves becoming a very good club coincided with the worst years of my life and they were the escape and I loved it. To have that taken away willingly bothers me a lot more than it should I suppose. I’ll always support Wolves, it’s not a choice, but having Fosun dangle a carrot and then just take it away is hard to swallow and I really am not looking forward to another bloke leading us out who has no right being there.

Exactly. I made my choice of which club to support when I was a kid, and you can't just change that - I'll be a Wolves fan years after Fosun have fucked off. It's our club, not theirs.

I'm dreading the season ahead because of the masochistic decisions the club is currently making, and at the moment I do find it tough to summon the pride I should feel as a Wolves fan.

You need a lot of luck in football but we appear to be giving lady luck the middle finger by self sabotaging ourselves. Almost as if mid table mediocrity doesn't appeal and we prefer a slog against relegation.

But I simply cannot understand the mentality of wanting the new head coach to fail - wtf is that all about??!

It has been quite clearly explained. The quicker he fails the quicker we get somebody competent in that is available.

Would you rather he fail after 10 games like Nathan Jones and then we have a chance of turning it around or 38 games of turgid misery and we sink out of sight?

It's inevitable that O'Neil will fall. His football was atrociously bad making Dycheball palatable

I’ve got no reason to hate GON, I’ll support him until he does something that makes me not want to. Just being a shit appointment isn’t enough of a reason.

I’m done lining Fosuns pockets though. Not spending a £ at the ground again and there is no chance I’m buying any merch. Which is a shame as I quite like the home kit this year!

On the verge of regretting my ST renewal but my love of the club just about negates that. A lot of work to do convincing me to do the same again next year though.

We have no choice except to suck it up and move on. We don’t like what has happened, but tough……
If you decide no longer to support the club, then good luck and find something else to do.
Otherwise at least give the incoming manager a chance.
He may or may not be a good choice but for fans to turn against him before he’s even arrived seems self indulgent to me.

Turning against the cunts who employed him is fucking open season though.

Regarding O’Neil I reserve the right to harrumph at the telly in the wee small hours!

You can be a Wolves fan and dislike the manager.

It's not a combined choice and almost childish to think so.

Here's some Lage-esque drivel to whet your appetite

Like some others have said and aside from how we got here, I have no issue with GON as far as panic recruitment goes. If it has to be a panic I'd rather have the option who was a success (relatively speaking) at his last club, in the same league we are in only a summer ago.

Will save my judgement in his ability for Wolves for the season ahead. Still clinging to that Rennes friendly for my ray of hope.
