The Video Games Thread II - The Resurrection

My daughter is cross with me at the moment as the Switch is downstairs connected to the big TV so I can enjoy TotK on a big screen. It will stay there until I've finished it.

Which will be a while yet.

The idea of fighting my parents for the TV because they were playing Zelda?

Like an upside down reality.

Can anybody please explain to me in simple terms, how to play Gwent in Thronebreaker?

No problems in Witcher 3, but I just cant seem to grasp the concept of the cards in Thronebreaker.
I can't even find any help on the internet.

Thanks a lot

I have definitely heard before that Thronebreaker really isn't a replacement for Gwent in W3. Haven't played it myself, though.

I know you said you looked online, but don't know if saw this? They are always my go too for gaming advice:

I'm enjoying Company of Heroes 3 on Xbox having played the first one on PC. They've done a pretty good job of taking mouse and keyboard controls and translating them for a controller. The actual RTS battles and skirmishes are great fun and happen at breakneck speed so the tactical pause is a necessity. The campaign part of the game, which is kind of turn based, is a bit confusing and I haven't quite wrapped my head around some aspects of the upgrading and skill system. And having purchased a new company to add to my forces, I actually have no idea how to deploy them, they are there but the button to deploy them isn't activated. Niggles aside, if you like a bit of RTS fun it's a good game.

Speaking of RTSs, I’ve somehow managed to fall back into Age of Empires.

Amazing the things I didn’t understand about this game when I was 9.

I'm a big RTS fan. Age of Empires is a great series for sure.

My favorite RTS games of all time:

StarCraft:Brood War
Homeworld
Company of Heroes

Love Sega but what kind of a fuck you is putting the Pause button on the console itself :ROFLMAO:

Atari used to have all the switches on the console:

And make stuff out of wood. Which seems sensible.

They had a megadrive too with the volume on the console 🤷‍♂️

There was also several Amigas, Atari, NES, SNES and many more. Its an absolute miracle I got out without buying anything.

Time to get the NES out for a blast on California Games I think after seeing this

Sega was my whole life when it first came out lol.Sonic was almost like a best friend, still love that blue hedgehog bastard.

I've got about another 5 Sonic games not listed there too

I still have my PS1, SNES, and N64 sitting in a cupboard. With all the games too. I keep meaning to sell them as there's one or two games worth something but never get round to it.

Zelda 1 and 2 on NES would pay for a few nights out

Edit: can't read, SNES..
