None of the new consoles are worth the money going by the titles they've previewed. Nothing wrong with the current generation.

Tbh I think Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is by far and away the best value for money in terms of console gaming right now. And that's before they added cloud gaming so you can play on your phone/tablet as well as integrating EA Play with it. Sony have no answer to that service yet, it's ridiculous value.

I think it'll be a long time before I upgrade to XSX or PS5.

The main title that’s making me want to upgrade to a Ps5 is gran turismo 7 but I’d imagine as with gran turismo 5 & 6 it’s probably the game then 14 hours of updates.

Pre-orders went live at 1.12am sold out at 1.14am on amazon and game.

£70 a pop for PS5 exclusives too. Ouch.

If I'm upgrading to a new console I will want a lot of titles to choose from that show the power of the new machine and I've not seen anywhere near enough from either. And it's not like the XB1 or PS4 are out of date - I've tons of games I've not even started for both of them.

I don't think the 'next generation' is necessary just yet.

True - and for Xbox, a lot of the Series X titles are available on XB1 too, with a free upgrade to the Series X should the player upgrade to the new console (Assassins Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk both offering this).

I'm 100% getting Cyberpunk and I don't think I'll need a next gen machine to appreciate it - it looks insane.

Cloud gaming launched yesterday on the ultimate package too - just had a quick game of Mortal Kombat on my phone and its pretty decent.

I think the price point of the Ps5 (and xbox) is pretty appealing I'll be buying the disc version of the Ps5 (might be able to get some of the exclusives cheaper...).

I'm in no rush for now, still playing Ghost of Tshushima, might pick up the Tony Hawks remasters and then there's Cyberpunk coming soon

Facebook has largely abandoned the Rift setup. The Oculus Quest 2 is the one you want to look at if you're committed to the Oculus ecosystem.

Ordered a Switch for my kids for their Christmas present. Yes, the kids. For them. I won't use it. It's for the kids.

My our kids switch gets a lot of use. Apparently Zelda is very good. Not played it myself obvs.

Yeah, the kids say they don't really 'get' Zelda, but obviously it's going to be purchased. The fact I've completed it before on the Wii U is neither here nor there. I'm thinking about the kids here - I would hate for them to miss out on the greatest game of all time.

The kids might like to play Divinity Original Sin 2 on the Switch as well........

They and you would like Luigi's Mansion 3 too, as its good on your own or in multiplayer. I so happen to have a copy sitting there in a drawer after I completed it at launch

After really not enjoying my first time through BotW (well, getting about ten hours in and then discarding it), someone advised me to start by dumping Spirit Orbs only in stamina for a while. Followed that advice and it has made my effort this time around immensely more enjoyable. I actually look forward to playing the game now.

Probably doesn't hurt that I'm much further removed from Dark Souls at this point, so I'm not constantly thinking to myself "wow, this combat sure isn't as good as Dark Souls' combat".
