Ings to West Ham for £12m. Doesn't hold the ball up like we'd need a number 9 too, but when fit he scores goals. Luckily we don't have to play them again
that's a good signing for them, just hope he breaks soon

Arsenal in talks over Trossard from Brighton

Fully expect him to sign for Chelsea in 2 days time
Hopefully stops them going back in for Neto in the summer if he impresses in the second half of the season.

I guess if Ings goes to West Ham (good signing for them), that frees up Antonio to come to us.

By all accounts Ings is done. Deal totalling £15m. They are also in talks with another forward player so Antonio is off by the looks of it.

So far just us and Everton linked with him (Everton seemed to be linked with every player we are at the moment)

3 close to being washed out strikers is one too many for me. Go on Frank - sign him up.

West Ham fans were scathing of him last season so you can only assume he's got worse since.

Perhaps he needs a new lease of life somewhere else? I thought he gave our defenders a tough game the other week too, despite West Ham generally looking awful.

I’d be ok with Antonio on a short term basis if the fee isn’t too high. I actually think someone like him could work brilliantly with Cunha behind/running off him, and the tricky wide players we have (Podence/Sarabia etc).

Put it this way, I’ve seen more from Antonio at this level to suggest he still has something to offer than I have from Raul over the last 12 months or so.

Wouldn’t put it past us to do a double-swoop for Antonio & Dawson.

When a side is willing to let 2 of their players go to a relegation rival then I think that tells you all you need to know of their opinions of the said players.
Dawson, I'd take at a push as it fills a gaping hole in our squad. Antonio - no thanks.

The only time he really looked like causing any trouble was when he challenged Collins as the last man who bizarrely just let a clearance bounce.

He stuck a pipe in Collins arse once, that was his contribution against us at the weekend. I would sigh him though as it gives us another option. Cunha is the key for me to Raul, Diego and if Antonio..

Poor Antonio has been run into the ground. Really good player on his day, but there's just nothing left there.

I said a week ago Antonio is done and I wouldn't want him here. I suspect he's a good character, but we need contributions on the field not off.

@Sniffer makes an exceptional point. We know we're v likely to need to overhaul the midfield this summer. We don't also want 3 forwards the wrong side of 30 with serious question marks over their ability to impact games. I would have taken Ings for 18 months. Seems we're not in that race.

Trossard to Arsenal for £21m with only 6 months of his contract left.
There shouldn’t be any Neves reduction in the summer on that basis.

Edit: Brighton had a 12 month extension option which they no doubt would have activated.
