What better figurehead for sportswashing than a middle-aged, white Englishman?

Maybe, but then why hire him in the first place?

Wow, ageist, racist and xenophobic all in one sentence there, young Alan :sneaky:

I just mean that Howe is an easy way for them to say, "see, we're still a British (English?) club at heart".

cus Steve Bruce told them...

They needed someone quickly I guess. Get the team out of the shit so went for the old "know the Division" type. Not to unlike us getting Lambert....just that Eddie hit on to something and their form has been sensational really.

At some point though, their owners will look to go elite. Eddie probably knows he is one small bad run of form away from picking up a nice payoff

Yeah, hard to deny that.

Just would seem very harsh on Howe if he gets them to Europe but never manages them there.

Football is a bitch sometimes.

Tuchel probably thought he was set for another year with his Chelsea team

Yeah unless things go catastrophically wrong at Newcastle I think Howe has earned another year.

Unsure about that.

Claudia Ranieri finished second with Chelsea in 03/04 but was unceremoniously dumped by the club for Mourinho.

If you can't appreciate the wisdom of Oscar Gamble, that's on you.

Thats nothing for poor Claudio, won the league with Leicester and was dumped within 12 months

Cardiff pay the first installment for the Sala fee.

Cunts have only done it to gey out of their transfer embargoes.

Never heard of him, but £17 Mill is a lot of money for a player from Leyton Orient...

I remember Leyton Orient had to put comms out when they were inundated with calls and emails after Becks announced his last professional game would be vs Lorient. Good times
