Tbf think van de beek’s main issue is you wouldn’t play him and Bruno in the same midfield, and Bruno hardly ever gets rested. And you have Pogba to think about. Really good footballer, fantastic movement too. Everton doesn’t seem like a great place for him to go though.

Lampard is going to play 4-3-3. I assume he is hoping one of them can be his Mason Mount. He can’t really play both of them unless he is playing Alli in the forward line.

NDombele gone yo Lyon on loan. Another who would have been worth a look if he weren’t on silly dough

If Newcastle stay up it really will be a big 7 and probably Villa , West Ham and Leicester.
A gap then to the rest of the premier league although Everyone will try and bridge it

There's a clip being served up by the youtube algo just now of Roy Keane saying "I worry about him" (meaning Alli) back in 2018.

Hindsight and all that.

Spurs have finally signed someone. Rodrigo Bentancur & Dejan Kulusevski, both from Juve. Can't say I know a fat lot about either.
I'd have loved both, they're both excellent. Bentancur is the midfielder we want and Kulusevski can play as an inside forward, deep lying forward in a 2 or at a push right wing back.

Good signings for Spurs.

Newcastle continue to not sign players in their rush towards the top 6, as Man Utd block a move for Lingard

Not expensive either. In our price range you would have thought . Not that they were ever mentioned

It strikes me that this isn't the first time OGS has managed a player who did something like this. It also strikes me that this all came out after OGS was sacked.

I hope he didn't know.

Oh goodness me. I give up with you I'm afraid CyberJasper. You are always the same on deadline day and frankly interaction with you is about as much fun as root canal surgery without anaesthetic.

The United stance with Lingard is so weird. There exists a player who you never use and even with all of Martial, van de Beek and Greenwood out of the equation is still unlikely to get much game time. New manager has come in, he doesn't seem to fancy him any more than his predecessor did. This is your very last chance to get something, anything for him before his deal runs out, he 100% won't sign another one as he's already annoyed that he was given promises in the summer that didn't pan out, you can also get him off the wage bill at £75k a week as reported. The club in for him is not a competitor in any respect and they probably would pay over the odds in terms of loan fee due to their predicament. He seems happy enough to go there. Who knows, he might even help you out when he's playing for Newcastle against your rivals.

No, turn it down, he'll just leave for free in a few months. Woodward may have departed but the bizarre way the club is run continues.

You have to say, from a purely footballing point of view it's a sensible idea to block Newcastle buying your players if you think they are the type of club that might challenge your league position the year after. No surprise they are having to look overseas a fair bit.

P.S. I also agree with DW, just that there is another interesting point of view to consider. Although likewise, anything over £5m is silly to turn down purely from a financial perspective

Now that I can agree with you on. I bloody well hate transfer deadline day at Wolves. It is horrendous.
I will take a voluntary 24 hour ban for the next one.
