Kabak off to Norwich on loan with an agreement to buy for €15m

Arteta pulled a proper dick move with him last year.

We wanted him, he wanted to come here (because he'd play). Arteta assured him he was part of his plans, played him in all the friendlies and the August games.

As soon as the deadline passed, dropped him and barely ever used him again.

Not that I care that we didn't get him (he isn't as good at wingback as the other players we own, and I'm not sure he'd make much difference in CM), it's just pathetic management.

I think he would have been ok for us in a Nuno small squad covering numerous positions but not first choice for any. Assuming he'd have stayed fit he'd have played a lot of the season at left back I'd have thought.

I thought they were meant to be skint now. I genuinely don't get why they're paying that much with him only having a year left. They must know whether he wants to go there. Seems odd from the player as well, he could wait it out for a year and get an absolutely huge signing on fee.

In Madrid's case, they know they aren't good enough to challenge in Europe as it stands and need to get Ancelotti a top player to appease him. They get him on a free in a year, but a lot of the saving will go on the increased wages.

For the player being RM's top player gives you more prominence commercially than PSG's 3rd

Plus they can sell some trees on the edge of the training ground to the Spanish government for £300m

Mbappe deal off. He now says he will Qatar sport wash FC for free the summer before the Qatar World Cup. Bit awkward.

He’s a right little bellend isn’t he? I don’t like him at all. And he did naff all at the Euro’s.

Unbelievable footballer. But baffled why he's so keen to leave when he has a chance to play with Messi

Because French football is shit, I imagine.

La Liga is in a short-term Covid slump but it's still a higher standard than Ligue Un by absolute miles. Maybe it's the old romantic in me but I can't see the joy in playing for PSG, the ultimate plastic club on every level.

My word, that is quite the awful record.

Not even sure they've brought that much in to ameliorate it either.

Messi is exactly why he wants to leave, I'd guess.

Mbappe is brilliant (on the pitch) but nobody escapes the sort of shadow Messi casts.

The only ones there who you think that’s an ok bit of business about are Tierney and possibly Odegaard. The rest are dross or worse.

Partey was quite highly rated when he went there, wasn't he? Not sure what happened there.

£24m for Dan James. Fucking hell.
Leeds fans at Old Trafford a fortnight ago were signing “you’re to shit to play for Leeds” to Dan James.
