The Transfer Thread 2019/20 - everything not Wolves

It's a fucking massive insult to VVD as far as I am concerned. Slabhead taking his record as most expensive defender is nothing short of a travesty.

Fuck me, United are fucking stupid. Good.

Literally the truest statement on the Wolves forum since DW’s rant on Roger Johnson

No way is Harry Maguire worthy of being the worlds most expensive defender.

Saw it being discussed on Facebook, someone asked if that was the case what was Gary Breen worth ? and someone answered 11 x 85 million :)

They will need to bid a LOT more than that to pique Watford's interest

They will probly accept 38-40, he doesnt want to stay.
Doucoure is one of those players like deulafeu, ive always wondered is he really as good as he seems, or is he an above average player that looks incredible due to the quality of knuckleheads that he plays with

Harry Maguire and Tyrone Mings , together 106.5 million plus wages.

Fucking lunacy.

Not a Mings fan myself, but if you're Villa it's not that bad a deal - signed up their best defender (and possibly player) from their very successful back end to last season for less than £30m.

He doesn't want to make a lateral move, either. He made it clear he wants UCL football.

Seems to be momentum gathering for Wayne Rooney to go to Derby as player / coach at the end of the MLS season.

Heard that earlier today, key is supposedly an America investor and him being part of the package

Sky seem to be ramping up talk of Eriksen to United.

Why would you swap Spurs for them at the moment? Would be a rubbish career move.

What wages is he on? I'm guessing Utd will give him a decent pay rise compared to Levy who is tighter than a duck's arse?

Hang on for a year then and move on a free. He'd earn way more on a Bosman than any move he could conceivably make now if that's the motivation.

I didn't realise he was in the last year of his contract. Would be the smart move.

Coutinho apparently very close to joining Arsenal. I credited Emery with a bit more intelligence than just collecting very good forwards and hoping for the best, perhaps not though

Rooney to Derby in Jan 2020 confirmed on an 18 month deal

Derby have pulled off a coup - utter bollocks, he’s going to be very slow as a player - struggling to see him as a good coach or manager.

He's been good in MLS and the Championship is bloody rubbish, I don't care what anyone says. Lewis Grabban scores goals every single year at that level.

If Derby use him properly and they're well positioned when he arrives it could work out.

Who knows with coaching/management, Gareth Southgate (who is pretty intelligent and has done really well with England) was a far worse club manager than Peter Reid (who is a nice bloke but at very best, you would say is rough round the edges).

Liverpool should be hi-jacking the deal :icon_lol:
