The Transfer Thread 2019/20 - everything not Wolves

Brighton bidding £25m for Adam Webster from Bristol City. That's an awful lot for a championship centre half.

This may mean that Dunk is on his way to Leicester and Maguire to Man United

Depends if United pay what Leicester want, plus I am less than convinced Leicester will bother with Dunk.

Apparently United will bid £80m for slab head

They're fucking nuts, no way is he in the same league as Van Dijk

I'd still prefer Boly over Maguire

Peacock Farrell to Burnley to replace Heaton. Strange. 2.5 million.

Is it me or are UK players going for a ridiculous premium atm? is it brexit fears? Mings and McBurnie and Webster all over 20m pounds... thats beyond insanity. I remember leeds paying 20m for ferdinant and people lost their minds

Nothing to do with Brexit. It's been the case for a number of years. Assombalonga, McCormack etc. More and more money in the PL means people can ask silly prices and people will pay it.

Plus the homegrown quota. If you have a full squad of 18 over 21 overseas players you can't sign another for the squad. Fine for us as we want to be with 18 full stop, but other teams with bloated squads have that issue.

17 non home grown over 21 year old players isn't it?

Probably. I could claim typo but that would be disingenuous. I thought it was 18 and 7 spaces but happy to be corrected

Has it been decided if these quotas will change post Brexit? Or is it as fucked up as everything else Brexit related?

Nobody knows, but technically if there is a hard brexit ALL foreign players could require a work visa, just like non eu players require now. Which would be ok for famous players but will be impossible for younger players without international caps.

Looking like Maguire to Utd is done....£85m (EIGHTY FIVE MILLION)

Fucking bonkers money. They really are masters at overpaying for overrated players.

No way is Harry Maguire worthy of being the worlds most expensive defender.

Clears a path for us to go for Dias if we're willing to pay the release clause!

Stupid money, though.

It's a fucking massive insult to VVD as far as I am concerned. Slabhead taking his record as most expensive defender is nothing short of a travesty.

Fuck me, United are fucking stupid. Good.
