The Transfer Thread 2019/20 - everything not Wolves

The reality is a lot of footballers prefer money and lifestyle to football. Bale doesnt have anything to prove an extra 80-100m is not exactly peanuts regardless of how rich you are

Does that extra £80-100m buy him anything that he can't already afford?

Billing is good business for Bournemouth, but he wouldnt be for us. Levels.

The Pepe deal sounds strangely structured with installments over several seasons. Palace would never accept that for Zaha. Big issue for Arsenal is that they are using up their budget over the next few windows and their defence is still rubbish.

Some people view success on their bank account. What motivated warren buffett to keep working at 80+? Or bill gates? Maybe he wants to give it all away at charity like them, 100m is a lot of childrens hospitals and orphanages in the third world. Not all football players love football or maybe their priorities change, but make no mistake money plays a huge part, if they didnt care because theyre already multimillionaire they would take huge pay cuts to attract good players to their team to have a better chance to win a title. Havent seen anyone doing that

I dont know the details of the pepe deal, but it seems strange for both teams, even if its over several seasons. Palace arent really in a position to challenge for europe or get relegated I think 80m is a great fee they can invest in young promising players

That's why Palace would want virtually all of the £80m up front. They have already lost Wan-Bissaka, and if they lost Zaha as well that is two huge holes in the first team for a squad that flirted with trouble last year. Without some decent replacements they could well go down.

Everton have made a £55m cash bid for Zaha. Would imagine that will get laughed out of the room.

Bale now staying at Real. Awkward.

Surely someone will take him but the wages are such a massive stumbling block. His handicap is going to improve though as no way is Zidane going to use him.

Says Real pulled the plug on twitter..

Sky are saying its his choice as he doesn't want to play in a pub league irrespective of the money.

He's done it just to annoy our man in Bulgaria to prove its not about the money, and because he called him English

Bale has been linked with Inter today, could have a bearing on not going to China

Owned by the same company as the chines club aren't they?

I think so yeah. The story I was reading was suggesting that he would move to China and then on to Inter
