Because he's probably one of the most proven goalscorers in this league - worth a lot to those who plan to be chasing promotion.

If I had to spend £12m on a goalscorer, I'd be looking for someone with the potential to do it in the Premier League, but I can understand why clubs pay such a big sum for him. If he scores and gets you up, he's more than justfied his fee.

Manchester City have reached an ABSOLUTE agreement with Palmeiras over Gabriel Jesus transfer.

Despite the deal being £27M, Palmeiras will get more from Gabriel Jesus than Santos got from Neymar.

Gabriel Jesus has a 5-year contract with Man City and will join them as soon as the Brazilian league ends. Eligible to play in January.

Not sure about the McCormack deal - it's a lot of wedge but I wonder if Villa would be better off strengthening the team elsewhere.
