Stepdaughter will be transported from Nottingham to Birmingham tomorrow, with ongoing treatment as an outpatient. Having to wear 2 braces (one on the back & neck) for months, but has been able to stand independently today!

No word on motive. Family liaison officer says he's been a dick in interviews. In court he said that he just popped out for a pizza. Didn't need to mount the pavement for that tho!

The little granddaughter has headed off on her first ever foreign trip today and took her first flight in her tiny stride. Here she is on the coach heading from Palma Airport this morning looking like butter wouldn't melt. Apparently each time they stopped at a hotel she said 'Is this our hotel'?

This flight is a starter for her as in December she is off to Australia for a month

If she gets through super long haul over here at five without it causing her any problems (boredom probably being the big one) then she will never be bothered by a flight again. The world becomes her back yard at that point.

Colonoscopy yesterday which I was worried about as it was bowel cancer that killed my dad. Loads of lovely little polyps but no cancer. They described my bowel preparation as 'excellent'. Not my words Michael, the words of the UCLH endoscopy unit.
