Happy, I think. Listening to this exact same radio show is how I also found out the aphantasia existed and that I had it. Very random, but it helps to realise I’m one of many.

It’s very frustrating at times, can’t explain it too.Yeah, I'm the same, I didn't know the official term for it until now though. When a character in a book pictured something in their minds eye I used to think it was some weird literary trope.
I've also got a kind of synesthesia which is hard to explain to people as because I don't have a minds eye, I don't 'see' the colours, I feel them.

There’s a subreddit on aphantasia that is really good on it.
It’s weird, obviously always had it so can’t really understand how it has affected me over the years. I do find it a little sad that I can’t picture any memories.I wish I had known about it during school, it explains so much about which subjects I struggled with and which ones I succeeded in. I used to get so frustrated at how easily other people took to creative tasks.
Interestingly, I was talking to a friend recently who described how when she thinks of words and numbers they appear spatially around her. She said if she 'thinks' the alphabet the 'A' appears directly Infront of her and as she progresses through it the letters 'feed' Infront of her from left to right. Totally bizarre.

It does explain how I continually get lost in office building / car parks. The fact you can beep and flash cars from an app now is an absolute god send.
