The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Lovely week for it in Cornwall

Staying near Crantock Beach about 10 mins from Newquay but is much quieter to retreat to.

St Ives was a bit drizzly but nice place I'd love to revisit with better conditions.

Crantock is absolutely wonderful! Fantastic beach.
Senneleys cove is also ace.

Finally managed to train and complete a marathon injury free. Downside is it was fucking hot and I’m pretty sure I got heat stroke. Finished in 4h 03 which is annoying, but given I wanted to vomit for most of the last 5 miles I’ll take it.

Amazing well done!

Yeah a great effort well done Tredders.

Had our monthly Branch meeting tonight and there was a retiring member there for his leaving presentation.
I was also awarded with my RMT long service award.
Both presentations done by the RMT deputy secretary Eddie Dempsey which was a nice surprise 😁

Passed my driving test today. First go.
Thought I made a balls of it halfway through as there was loads of hazards that I felt I hadnt given 1.5m clearance to, pedestrians walking out, cyclists, lorries reversing etc. Thought I'd blown it but passed with 6/8 errors
Top stuff.

Now you have passed your test you can start to learn how to drive....

Is it true that driving tests over there are always done in a manual transmission?

You can do lessons and tests in an automatic. (obviously if you do you can't drive a manual car)

Good to know if I ever manage to get the hell out of here...
