Finally told Halfords to do one, and I’ve quit, was sick of getting moaned at by a 19yo supervisor because
I wasn’t hitting bike build targets ( you build on the shop floor so have to deal with customers as well),
If we weren’t busy, I hit my build targets but then got moaned at for not hitting sales targets,
Didn’t hit E receipts targets because basically I wasn’t asking for them so the customer wouldn’t get spammed, and fuck data mining everyone,
Sold £6000 worth of bikes one day, 2 £1000 e bikes, 1 £3000 e bike couple of ordinary bikes, got moaned at because I didn’t try to “screw more money out of him, he’s loaded, just bought a £3000 bike” that was the point I thought fuck this, and fuck Halfords!
Anyway, I’ve got a new job, it’s sorting out distribution of the west mids hire bikes, I drive round in a van, moving the bikes to where they need to be, only drive and deal with bikes, no customers, bad news is it’s for serco, it’s 12 hr days, and I have to move somewhere local to Selly oak in Brum, as it’s too early a start and late finish for commuting By train ( I’d be at work, on the train or asleep that’s it)
