The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Mr Penguin is at this moment online deciding do we fly to Dallas then Heathrow, or do we go Philly then Birmingham.I don't care, either one makes me very happy indeed :)

Most definitely Philly then B'ham, When we moved we went to from B'ham-Amsterdam-Atlanta.

All of our vacation flights we always flew from London-Atlanta direct and parked the car, which was a pain in the ass, wish we had always flew from B'ham!

Like you we are planning a trip for Xmas too, (As I get quite a bit of vacation time, so will be looking into flights, prices and rentals cars over the next week!) :)

My mum's done a 5K Race For Life run in 48 minutes today. About two months ago she could barely run 5 metres because of her weight. Well pleased with that!! :)

England going two nil up after years of having to grovel to the aussies

Well into planning our holiday next year. Our first with our daughter.
When we get it done, which will be soon, it'll be a huge thing to look forward to during the winter.

Delighted.

Such a tease!!!!

So tell us all where you will be holidaying to!

Went to a cool music festival yesterday, Longitude, sister festival of Latitude in the UK. Was on in Marlay Park, a lovely bushy park in the Dublin suburbs just at the foot of the Dublin mountains. They had 3 stages and some good bands, I saw Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hot Chip, Subtrakt, Foals, and Kraftwerk in 3D.
Kraftwerk are overrated in my opinion but the rest of it was good and the setting and location was top notch. Hope it returns next year.

Fraping my fiance with this:

When I think of everything that Del Woppio does for Matilda and I, I know I'm truly blessed to have such a warm, loving, generous and amazing man by my side. ‪#‎luckiestwomanalive‬

Biblical thunderstorm in Bristol at the moment. I've only ever seen rain like this once before and that was the Boscombe floods.

Some of the lighting forks are beautiful.

A thunder clap has just set car alarms off! Fucking mental. Never heard thunder like it.

Send it this way. I could use a good lightning storm.

Woke me up at four the cunt. Couldn't be arsed to get out of bed so can't comment on its biblicality.

Watching the storm with my son trying to explain to him what's happening. We've got an awesome view from our room.

He thinks its ace and wants to know if this is what killed off the dinosaurs.

I love a good storm but i hate getting out of bed at 5am so this one wasn't the most welcome, i also saw nothing of it.

So much for a lie in on a day off.

Just got off the phone to the agent in London to confirm that I was turning down the offer I had to work there, it was a fantastic opportunity but I'm glad to say that I've managed to get myself sorted over in Brum. It's going to be a tough challenge but it's with a very small company who are growing (so nice after the past year working for a failing company)

It's going to be an interesting challenge and hopefully one that will prove very rewarding, most of all it will mean that I will be able to come home of a night and see my family grow up. I've a few days left to down with them untill I start on Monday so I'm going to make the most of it.

Very brave Newbridge.

Fair play to you.
Courage of your convictions and all of that.

Getting out to my car this morning:

"Yesss, it hasn't flooded"

(It completely floods the driver foot-well, 1 in 5 storms, and I have no idea why)

Door seals, pollen filter or sunroof are the most common reasons for water in the footwell. Mine does it because the door seals are poorly designed.
