They have to try and find a Davis Cup format that all the top players want to and do play in. Neither Federer or Wawrinka played for Switzerland or Djokovic for Serbia in the ties which their countries lost this year. Murray has also said it's difficult to fit into his schedule. Ties seem to happen the week after the slams which means those that get to the final often don't play.

I never thought I would see a British Wimbledon champion. Fuck - I never thought I would see a British Grand Slam winner full stop. The very idea of winning the Davis Cup was beyond even comprehension. Superlative.

GB (well realistically the Murray brothers) win it for the first time since 1936

Ultimately - of the top players from each side, Murray played 3 won 3, Goffin played 3 won 1. That was decisive

We need to build on this for the future of British tennis now
