The Rugby Thread

For a period, ended the half strongly.

Second half will be a cracker.

I can't find anywhere to follow it (apart from BBC live posts, I don't have Sky.

Great scenes at the end, worth getting up early on holiday for.

Comfortable for Australia today, lions losing that many line outs and handling the ball so badly were never going to win.
For all the talk of a 3-0 win I think the lions have been very fortunate to win the series, apart from the first 50 minutes in Brisbane they’ve been second best in large parts.
Worth noting Australia have outscored the lions over the 3 games.
Edit that the late lions try means they’ve slightly edged it by 1 point.

Just watched the highlights of the final (gutted couldn't watch it live) and well done to England. I dont watch loads of thecwomens game but I've enjoyed this tournament a lot. Fair play to Canada, did well to get to the final and played an exciting brand of rugby but England were too streetwise and their pack dominated.
Seems to me the women's game has vastly improved over the last 4 years, technique and physicality.

I quite enjoy that it’s not a physical as men’s rugby - that’s basically become a lot of meat heads running into each other interspersed with some kicking. The balls seems to be in actual hand way more in the women’s game.

England are a genuinely very good team. Take anybody on with a really flexible type of rugby.

Yep, some key times they changed the momentum, or won the crucial phases - may not be vintage All Blacks, but some really promising signs for next World Cup.

In Bath this weekend and as someone not remotely into rugby, it's always a surprise to see so many bars and pubs full of people into the game which wouldn't be the case back in Wolves.

New Zealand have a player in their squad who was born and reared in the Netherlands, and lived there until he was in his mid teens .
