The Rugby Thread

Ireland and Wales have some very difficult selection issues. We are both like field hospitals.

Ireland should beat Argentina but I fancy the Pumas to be right up for it. Could be a cracking game. Hope they do it for PO'C.

Ross Ford and Jonny Gray given 3 weeks ban for two-man tip tackle against Samoa.
They have 48 hours to challenge.

An Englishman walks into a bar.....

There's usually an Irishman, Scotsman and Welshman too, but they're all still at the Rugby World Cup.

Scotland have decided to appeal the length of the bans.

Quite right very harsh decision especially for Ford, even more so as the ref, touch judge and TMO saw much wrong at the time, and since the ref has said he felt his decision is still right plus the Samoans & Lam himself (who was dumped) have come out and said they didnt see much wrong with it.

Plus they need all the help they can get this weekend.

Very good, so long as we are all not in the bar with you come Sunday night...

It will be terrible for rugby in the NH, if it has 4 teams from SH in the Semi-Finals. Cant see Scotland or France doing much, ours is a 50/50 game due to the injuries (Sexton not 100% but apparently going to play him), I think Wales have a chance I have put a few quid on them to win at 3-1, the Springbok were poor in the summer and against Japan, all they have done since is beat the 3 worst teams in the poorest group.a

Sexton to miss QF against Argies

Pocock and Folau unfit for Aussies against Scotland

Sexton will be a big miss tomorrow, suppose to find a silver lining to the cloud, better finding out now rather then 5 mins into the game.

I think you should win anyway. To take it further, you'd rather have Sexton fit for the semi-final than this game if it were a straight either/or choice.

Have predicted a Wales win by a very small margin. Think they can do it, but will need to be concentrated for the whole 80 mins & make the right decisions.

Good start. Always a very tough pass to make on the second wave.

Got to be coming away with points in these early incursions. George North is a beast so far.

No more penalties now Wales. Can't afford to be leaking points.
