Hooper banned for one match (against Wales) for his wild headlong dive at Mike Brown last Saturday against England.
He should have got 10 mins in the bin during the match but the ref. and his linesman and the TMO didn't even consider it foul play.

Israel Falau also a doubt with an injured ankle. Big bonus for Wales if he can't play.

England: 15 Alex Goode, 14 Anthony Watson, 13 Henry Slade, 12 Owen Farrell, 11 Jack Nowell, 10 George Ford, 9 Danny Care; 1 Mako Vunipola, 2 Tom Youngs, 3 Dan Cole, 4 Joe Launchbury, 5 Geoff Parling, 6 James Haskell, 7 Chris Robshaw (c), 8 Nick Easter.

Replacements: 16 Jamie George, 17 Joe Marler, 18 David Wilson, 19 George Kruis, 20 Tom Wood, 21 Richard Wigglesworth, 22 Jonathan Joseph, 23 Mike Brown.

Now he picks Slade, but he's put Farrell next to him ????????????, and Burgess isn't in the 23 ???? WTF?
Here was the ideal opportunity to play Burgess & Slade together but no, he's got to find room for Farrell, even though Farrell and Ford could have had half a game each at fly-half.

The bad news kept coming for England on Monday, with the team dropping to eighth place in the world rankings, matching their lowest position.

England trailed 17-3 at half-time of the match and as the teams ran off the pitch, the coaches are reported to have spoken to officials in contravention of regulations. A report in Australia states that two members of the coaching team approached match officials in the tunnel at Twickenham at half-time.

"The protocol prohibits certain conduct on match days including coaches approaching match officials during a match or at half-time during a match," World Rugby's statement continued.

England are already facing a possible fine for their failure to fulfil media obligations for the mixed zone after the defeat by the Wallabies.

All England supporters were disappointed, but it didn't stop me taking the grandson home (my obligation).

Canada v Romania seems a decent enough game, although it is being played in a monsoon.

If he gave a yellow for the penalty infringement as Romania trundled over it should have been a penalty try. Not that it matters as I think Romania have scored. And it has been given - could be a great last few minutes if they can slot the conversion.

Romania now ahead. It may not have silky skills or breathtaking quality but this is a great game to watch as the teams are so evenly matched.

Great effort by Romania and I agree, the Referee did his best to ruin the game

Yes I enjoyed that, though I missed the first 15 minutes. Indiscipline cost Canada dear in the end.

FT Fiji 47-15 Uruguay

Fiji score seven tries, 2 of them penalty tries, while Uruguay score two tries of their own but end up with a player receiving 2 x yellow cards which was turned into a red. Lots of handbags in the second half.

I heard this morning that there was a record crowd last night at MK Dons. Considering that none of the major rugby nations were playing, that is very impressive.

Castrogiovani wont be playing in Italy's final match, after complaining of backpain they found a tumour in his back fortunately it looks benign.

South Africa on top here, but what I am noticing is that there does not seem to be many thrashing handed out. The lesser nations have done very well, and in many cases have held their own until the last quarter.
