The Rugby Thread

Not too often I comment on the 13 man game here, but I am watching a belter of a Hull derby and Hull KR have just scored an absolutely brilliant try. Come on you Robins.

I'm sure theres a thread for that....

I've just got back from the Jungle after being lucky enough to score some comp tickets through a work contact. Although it was a piss poor performance from Wigan, it was a great ground to watch rugby from, reminded me of my trips up to watch Wigan at Cetral Park with my Granda, happy days

Thoroughly deserved win for Ireland today. Wales were beaten well at the breakdown. Ireland probably now become favourites for the trophy this year.

France surely.

That wasn’t the most exciting game, thought Wales played ok but far too many simple handling errors.

France have to go to Cardiff, and we surely won't be that poor again.

The first Welsh try was lovely, but the ridiculous knock on two minutes afterward that gave Ireland the lead again was ghastly. Plus if Hadleigh Parkes actually managed to ground the ball we were right back in it. But like I say, Ireland were the better side.

Looking forward to the Calcutta cup game. I fancy England will take out quite a bit of frustration on Scotland.

Sat in a pub in Cleveleys that’s half English and half Scottish the one thing we all agree on is that Princess Anne loves the Rugby

Scottish rugby fans proving themselves to be french-style cunts.

A day for keeping the ball in hand, very scrappy so far England very good at the breakdown so far.

It’s the temptation though, you don’t know where the kick could go which might be excellent for the attacking team.

It needs to be stick it up the jumper pack rugby. Not pretty but its the only thing that is guaranteed to be effective. Try slick passing in this rain and you lose.

It’s definitely not the day for a drop goal.

That was an appalling short line out from Scotland. Been sat here saying go short and then they go that.

England should be further ahead pretty much had Scotland at arms length all half.

I dunno, with that wind against them even going in even would have been pretty good.

Terrible refereeing twice in a row at the line out.

Willy Heinz is doing my head in now you need to adjust. Agree 2 line outs Scotland have not put the ball in straight.
