The Rugby Thread

IMO Launch is only behind Itoje and Kruis (when fit) and only because Kruis is a line-out specialist for England. I'm not going to dis. Lawes, as he is a superb 2nd rower esp. now he is improving his carrying, but he is still not as good as Launchbury who was MOM twice during the 6N and nominated for player of the competition.

Lawes is the better player for me. But I guess each to their own.

Launchbury, Russell and all the other unlucky players can probably expect to end up in NZ at some point. We are bound to pick up some injuries.

Lawes on his day is fantastic. Was lucky enough to see England beat Aus at Twickenham a few seasons ago - was right at the front and saw lawes put one of his big hits on an Australian right in front of me, the sound alone was awesome.

Lawes has been outstanding this season. It would have been equally as harsh to leave him out too. Just goes to show the ridiculous array of quality at lock.

Aye - and that is why the Grays are unfortunate. Some superb locks are going. Some almost equally as superb locks have missed out. Our locks won't be a weakness for sure. In fact, scrum in general looks pretty damn good, with plenty of depth of talent.

Never knew Jonny May was a distant relative of Andy Goram.

Dunno what Wade has to do to get picked

Edit - Probably changing his name to Jonny May would help

So the Champions Cup Final will be contested by Saracens and Clermont, after both Munster and Leinster lose in the semis.

Saracens were really impressive did a controlled number on a fired up Munster, will be favourites for the Final.

Sat next to Ben & Tom Youngs at Wagamama in Leicester at the minute.

That's my celeb/sports star spotting done for the day.
