The Road to Russia 2018

Very weird squad. Not sure why we need 4 keepers, Hart shouldn't be in there for me.

Livermore is not an international midfielder, Delph is in from nowhere, Smalling has barely kicked a ball this season, Keane has struggled since his move to Everton, if Lingard was making fleeting sub appearances at say Stoke would he be in the squad? The Ox has looked terrible this season.

A very underwhelming squad

Livermore is incredible, I'm not sure he even gets in Albion's best XI!

Southgate is coming across quite weird now. He started off saying the right things and seemed like he would be quite flexible but he won't drop Hart, he's hardly playing Stones, he can't get the front players to work effectively despite that being our strongest area. We are just gearing towards another crap tournament where we will say the same things again afterwards and fuck all will be learnt.

I'm still really struggling to see a solution in midfield unless Wilshere suddenly returns to what he should have been, which just isn't happening. Dier I think is solid enough but he needs better quality next to him, as Dembele is a great combination of combative and creativity (something Wilshere really should have been). Henderson ain't that and he is the fucking captain.

Its only Bate but Wilshere is looking excellent for arsenal today. Lovely quick movement and great passing.

If he gets himself fit, regularly starting for Arsenal, show the quality we know he has.... Southgate will stick pick Livermore and Henderson!

Followed by the inevitable 'review' and the FA throwing another manager to the wolves.

He's not been too shabby in his last two outings either, his fitness is key. If he can stay injury free he could be in for a decent season and a new contract, Arsenal fans certainly want him back in the starting XI and there are quite a few they'd throw under the bus to fit him in.

I'd have an injured Wilshere over a fit Livermore any day of the week.

How Livermore and Ox have been called up but Tom Davies hasn't is truly boggling.

Ox has looked like a competition winner so far for Liverpool.

Rashford, Alli, Sterling, Kane is exciting. Walker, Stones and Jones are all playing well too.

If only we had anything resembling a decent central pairing.

Alli handed a 1 match ban for his middle finger gesture at the ref or was it Kyle Walker

Gareth Bale has been ruled out of Wales' crucial World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and the Republic of Ireland with a calf strain.

Great news! However, Jon Walters is out for us. O'Neill has drafted in 3 youngsters for their first caps..... that didn't work out for us last time we tried that.

We have coped without Bale before, but that does make the task a WHOLE lot harder.

"Indeed, they have only won once without him in six-and-a-half years: a 1-0 win over Macedonia at Cardiff City Stadium at the tail-end of the last World Cup campaign. Prior to that, Wales had not won without Bale since an August 2010 friendly win over Luxembourg"

Yeah, but Ireland are rubbish...:icon_twisted::icon_twisted:

Seriously, gutted about Bale missing - we really need Ramsay to play out of his skin now.

If you have nothing better to do then the Syria vs Australia playoff is on YouTube right now.

It will be terrible though, Syria have massively overperformed to get this far and Australia are woeful (despite Alan's protestations that they were really good at the 2014 World Cup where they lost every game)

Syria giving it a good go to be fair to them. And yeah, Australia are awful

Not actually sure how Syria haven't scored!
