Stanley Booker MBE Legion D’Honneur, 102,
RAF pilot who escaped a burning Halifax bomber in June 1944, rescued by French resistance fighters who were betrayed and captured, he was sent to the infamous Buchenwald prison where he was tortured for the rest of the war.
Post war continued serving in the RAF before transferring to Mi6, when asked about the war he said his survival was all due to squadron leader Phil Lamason RNZAF who kept moral up during his capture.

Captain Richard Farnfield RN aged 87.
Another boys own story, he holds the record of being in charge of the longest underwater tracking of a Soviet submarine, while commanding HMS Sovereign he followed a soviet submarine 10,724miles across the eastern Atlantic, 49 days and all at a distance of 2-400 yards away from the Russians without them even knowing he was there.
