I feel very out of touch, not knowing who the hell he is/was.

Probably he'd never heard of me either.

To be fair I was the same (him not you) when they announced it until some other DJ who i'd never heard of proclaimed "the word genius is bandied about all too often these days but in his case it was true"
I did appreciate the irony of him bandying the word 'genius' about !

Lol I was corrected whilst being pedantic, that will teach me :)

Yes Irvine welsh made a comment that tom put above, the bloke who wrote trainspotting, I only knew it was him as I'd just read it

although screamadelica is likely his best known work, I'll always love the sabres of paradise, and two lone swordsmen. Some brilliant stuff.
He also did echo dek with the primals, and a manic remix for James of Jam J.

Heather Couper is off to the stars she loved so much. Her love of astronomy on childrens telly back in the day was infectious.

40 years ago today we lost Bon Scott.........40 years ?

Blimey. That’s mad. Back in Black is a great album but apart from that all the good AC/DC output is from the Bon Scott years. Let there be Rock is probably still in my top five favourite albums of all time.
