The Salah love in is pretty embarrassing, he's still at the tournament. Plenty of players missing the competition due to injury (including England ones) they don't keep bleating on about them.

Stock stuff really at a tournament from the broadcasters. Team qualifies, not many people will have heard of most of their squad, should we research all these lesser known players and educate the viewers...no, let's not bother, just the names will do and we'll bollock on forever about the players they already know.

ITV used to be appalling for it with Ronaldo whenever Portugal played (they haven't shown them yet, so could still be the same) and they weren't even low profile team mates that he had.

Goal difference means they'll probably win the group even if they lose vs Uruguay. Odds are they'd play Portugal in the second round then. And they'd lose.

Uruguay aren't going to lose vs Saudi Arabia.

Right you are. If Uruguay win tomorrow and they should, then Russia's GD will probably mean they only need a draw in the final game to win the group. But they'll still be very likely to lose in the next round.

When I went to the Yankies Stadium at the end of the game they put a "clean your mess up" message on the screens and everyone did. Not one bit of rubbish left behind.
