The Official World Cup 2018 Megathread

Cool penalty.

How many have been awarded thus far? There seems to be at least one a day! I don't recall disagreeing with any of them either.

Just ditched James for Kagawa in my dream team because the former wasn't starting, bonus.

Nine penalties so far I think (seven scored).

Not sure what Sanchez was complaining about, it was going in mate, you handballed it.

I'm of a different view than most, we should be winning games like this and had this been a friendly or qualifier and we played like that then most of us would be disappointed in the second half performance. The first half performance was excellent and I'm sure the finishing will improve (John Stones airshot??) but then this is Tunisia and we should be beating them comfortably. No excuses. .

While I agree that our second half performance wasn't great, surely we're past the opinion that England can just turn up and beat smaller teams comfortably, look at the Iceland result. Tunisia have proved themselves to be a half-decent team over the past year or so. We performed well in the first half, and overall better than the likes of France, who required quite a bit of luck really to secure their win against Australia, who I would say are potentially worse than Tunisia.

Polish blokes here are delighted at this start. They see Colombia as the main threat in their group.

Jesus Christ keeper. What the fuck was that?

What are the Japanese players complaining to the Referee for? It's a mile over the line. Some footballers are thick as pig shit

Joe Hart and Rob Green eat your heart out. Absolutely horrendous stuff.

I think last night they mentioned 9 out of 12 games had penalties with two being missed (Messi and ???).

So that'd make it 10 out of 13 now.

The guy who sent the ball into orbit...It still hasn't returned to earth yet

Peru missed the other pen, can't remember the guy's name. Probably good for him that I can't because it was a shocker.

I don't think anybody has a divine right to beat anybody else. What I'm saying is that we should be beating Tunisia given the talent and match up man for man and system for system. I don't think we should be elated at beating Tunisia.

The Iceland game was a disgraceful performance.

Well this is a different level of punditry.... :icon_lol:

There's definitely an air of Partridge-ness with Dan Walker.
