Mrs cyber hates football with a passion I can only dream of. I know where my bread is buttered. For those of you whose partners love football too enjoy it! Spare a thought for the rest of us!

My other halfs patience is finally running out. I have watched every game except the Denmark France borefest. She finally snapped when she realised we had nothing tp play for when I was watching England v Belgium last night. Now I have to tread carefully :crossfingers:

I hate to break this to you but we've lost to Belgium more recently than we've lost to Brazil, Portugal, Uruguay or Argentina. Or Colombia or Sweden.

England B lost to Belgium B in a match that I described as win win. The golden generation lost in many of the other games. I still think England A would beat Belgium A in this tournament.

See it's not just me! It's all about battles and wars! I know I don't need to remember the things I get wrong. My wife is perfectly capable of reciting them including day date and time of occurrence [emoji23][emoji23]

We scraped past Tunisia, no we did not we battered them for 60 minutes but for wastefulness in front of goal we would have battered them.
Brazil, could not get past Swizerland, Argentina struggled in all games.
The performances have what's got the fans back on side. It's seeing players trying.

At work.we do a prediction league I was talking to the organiser who was laughing at the 5 or so English guys who have England going out before the final as opposed to the 25 Scots out of 32 that have England winning it.

From an outsider point of view I think England has looked really solid, ignoring the Belgium game. One of a few pleasant surprises in a tournament where a few of the favourites have been disappointing. I am particularly impressed with the amount of chances created. Colombia and (guessing) Switzerland should be perfectly beatable, but I would say it ends in the semis against Croatia.

I think we will beat Switzerland on team effort...after the Durmaz debacle we are even more of a team..so believe you will meet Sweden instead..

You have a more talented squad, we are quite solid at the back but lack a little upfront, opposite of you I think..Berg and Forsberg need to step up...teamwork is our thing now Zlatan didnt make it(although I would have wanted him as a super sub)

Switzerland are fairly solid too though, and perhapshave a few more potential match winners. It will be close, though I am of course cheering on the scandinavians.

Colombia are no pushovers but I expect England to win it by a goal or so as they are looking more like a team. More than a few hotheads among the colombians as well, might well cost them again

Yeah that's how i see it. Looks like Messi is playing up top which could help but Di Maria and Pavon have both been poor imo. I still don't understand what Dybala has done wrong.
