The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

Qatar have no place at this tournament - they're abominable.

They could end up going out with 0 shots on target all tournament. It's like putting Stourbridge in the Premier League.

No need to really, I wouldn't say the US are a bigger attacking threat than Iran. Teremi is better than any striker they have.

Their midfield is infinitely better though. I think it may be tight while they are able to press at high intensity but England will run out comfortable winners. Too much quality in forward areas.

Come on now. Ian Brown would never hit two notes properly in one gig.

Isn't this WC over yet and we can get back to the real football?

(I'm taking this morning's result / "performance" well).

But hang on, Bale is the second coming isn’t he? Wales are supposed to be knocking England out according to their fans. Good riddance boyos.
You can do one (along with Bale and Ramsey).

As a bonus Tony Roberts will be back next week to start his job hunt.

I thought you only supported the Wales team with Rugby and were very much an England fan when it came to football? You've definitely said that to me in the past!

You and me both. To be fair, we got exactly what we deserved and we haven’t exactly enhanced the tournament with our play. Other sides are clearly far more worthy of advancement to the knockout stages

I have never said that to you ever.
I supported England in two tournaments (1990 and 1996), but the only team I ever went to see live was Wales. I was there for the Paul Bodin missed penalty in 1993. I strongly disliked the England team from about 2000 until 2016, but I don't have any strong feelings about this England team (I like most of the players and the manager). I would certainly never cheer a goal or celebrate a win.
