The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

Sorry big John Hartson the tackle from behind was out ruled 28 years ago.

Yeah but he didn’t actually touch the man. Wouldn’t have been given in the PL

Don't think I agree with this '2 poor sides' argument. The US are playing well.

Football genuinely isn't in our culture that way. Our coaches nationally haven't developed an understanding yet of how to marry the spontaneous with the tactical.

Bale did touch him, but he also got the ball. when he dove, the other players foot clipped his as he was moving forward, where he then caught the ball.

it's a foul, but not as blatant as it looked at first.

They are. Odd thing with the USA is they always look so mechanical, lacking flair and spontaneity but they are a good set of athletes.

Gio Reyna is more of a flair player, not fully fit but think he may start Friday.

Look better technically than I’ve seen them before.

Wales are Wales. Long ball, set piece merchants hoping for Bale or Ramey to do something.

Not seen any of this but That’s not a bad side USA have put out tbf (on paper)

They've always been technically good and tactically sound but I think it's as Alan says, creativity just isn't there.
