I've been filled by a complete lack of joy throughout this whole tournament to be honest. Plus I've only just seen it and was more concerned with what the French were doing (or weren't doing) on the transition. Very well exploited by Argentina though.

I'm not sure about this at all, there have been times where they have looked very, very good. If they win it, they have earned it, they'll have beaten both of the finalists from the last World Cup.

They lost to Saudi Arabia FFS! Then Had the Dutch carried on with their Pulis ball approach in extra time they'd more than likely have been out.

France have been appalling and the fact a mostly unfit Di Maria is running circles around them tells you how bad they've been. Not many Argentinians are likely to be complaining though.

Second goal is excellent. Best pass of the lot is the first time pass from the defender into midfield. Most people take a touch there or hoof it, or simply don’t have the quality/vision/confidence to execute that first time right on target back inside. Playing it first time perfectly allows the rest to happen.
