I bet that took a LOT of brown envelopes. They're the bloody Champions of Asia! Just chuck out the whole region while we're at it.
You are watching this game, yes?
They're comically awful. A couple of the players look genuine parks level, can't even control the ball.
I mean I guess we can't rule out the possibility.I bet that took a LOT of brown envelopes.
Given the ‘decision’ at the start that should have a * next to it.They're the bloody Champions of Asia! Just chuck out the whole region while we're at it.
All I can say is that they were at least doing the basics right at the Gold Cup. They looked a genuinely decent counter-attacking side with Afif and Almoez-Ali.I didn't watch any of the AFC, and this is the only 58 minutes I've ever watched of Qatar. But based on this I find it impossible to believe that they won that tournament without bungs or geopolitical pressures being at play

Granted, that was against CONCACAF nations, but generally I think Ecuador is about the same standard as what Qatar played against in that tournament. So that they have been so bereft of any quality today has been a surprise to me.
Afif is bloody fast when he gets going. Good dribbler, too.I'll have to take your word for it but I can't see how they could possibly play on the counter. All 11 players on show would lose a race to Lee Evans or George Saville.
Heck, some of them would lose to Jimmy Saville...I'll have to take your word for it but I can't see how they could possibly play on the counter. All 11 players on show would lose a race to Lee Evans or George Saville.
They are making Ecuador look like Brazil 1982. Ecuador are not very good.
The same Afif that is playing today? He makes Adama look like George Weah.Afif is bloody fast when he gets going. Good dribbler, too.
Come to think of it, he's kind of like a skinny Qatari version of Adama. With less end product.
Excuse me, camera guy, we're not getting enough of thisAhhhh yes keeping showing those sad widdle Qatari royals, that is content I am here for.
None of the Qataris that showed up well last year have done anything today. Al-Haydos was awful today, Pedro has been poor, Afif diabolical, Almoez-Ali anonymous. All four were quite good last I saw them. The same Afif that is playing today? He makes Adama look like George Weah.
