The Official Euro 2016 Megathread

Not sure if this has been noted, but Dele Alli played a lovely little flick into Sturridge's path to finish that goal. Not much flukey about it. He is very good.

Good point that. I thought Rooney was superb. I think a few of us may owe NWW an apology.
 
Yes it was a nice little back flick. Totally intentional IMO.
 
Nothing flukey at all about it.

I'm just peeved that there were five welsh defenders trying to block it and it was like a chocolate fireguard
 
I think the team that started the second half will play against Solvakia.

Lallana, Walker and Rooney were our best players today.
 
A little shout out to the linesman for not flagging for Vardy's goal too. Couldn't have been easy to see that it came off Williams with the player's backs to him.
 
I can't understand why other goalkeepers have done similar to Hart in this tournament, they seem to be anticipating things that don't exist.
 
Why does Gary Lineker's chest look like a plucked scrotum?
 
My team for Slovakia:

Hart

Walker - Cahill - Smalling - Bertrand

Rooney - Dier - Alli

Sturridge - Vardy - Lallana


Slovakia are going to have to come out attacking and not rely on other results going their way. Perfect situation for Vardy to get more space and counter.
 
wow, got away with that after a nothing first half. how he started with sterling again is beyond me, I really have no clue what the tactics are with him most of the time.

great free kick from bale. hart bad positioning and movement and done for pace.

thought we'd lost momentum at the end and I was fuming at Sturridge until he scored. didn't think we used width anywhere near enough again, Walker motm. awesome both games so far. great to see Rashford come on.

in the end, it was a bad defensive header for an equaliser and a bit of luck for the winner. not very convincing at all yet.

unlucky for Wales to lose at the end like that but hopefully they'll get through. Ramsey had another great game.

None needed, by anyone. We all get things right and wrong and I more than understand the concerns.

He's been class and I'm delighted for him, and us as a nation.

I'd like to see him a bit further forward still...
