The NFL Thread

Bears recover an onside kick with 22 seconds left and kick a field goal to take the Vikings to OT.

Then the Commanders come from 10 behind against the Cowboys (after conceding a KO return with less than 2 minutes left) only to then miss the PAT to tie the game. Four touchdowns in the last 3 minutes of the game.

I am willing to concede that the Bears may not now reach the Super Bowl this year.

Likewise with my Niners, unsurprisingly stinking the place out on offense with Brandon Allen under centre. Although the D has been just as bigger issue on occasions this season.

At least it means I'll likely get an early night.

Ditto Texans. Sack Levis 7 times before halftime, but also let him complete every pass.
We will win the division (probably), then lose to the Ravens.

CMC was the real MVP last year and Barkley is this. They'll give it a QB because they always do

I think Barkley has a legit shot. Especially if he breaks Eric Dickerson’s record for single season rushing yards. That might make it impossible to give to anyone else.

If this happens it would be hard to argue against him getting it. He should get it anyway but RBs just aren't valued anymore.

Difficult to project too much with 6 games left, but at the moment I could see the Eagles having the number 2 seed locked up and no chance of the 1 with a week to spare so he wouldn't play the final game unless the record is a few years away. I can't see him doing it for that reason

The Bears look toast in this and it's only just the start of the 2nd quarter.

Given how terrible their offense has been, the Bears D has put in a spirited performance in the 2nd quarter. 0 first downs in the half has hung them out to dry.

Showed a stat about halfway through the second quarter, at which point the Lions had 20 plays in the Bears' red zone (I think? It may have just been Bears' territory) while the Bears had run 9 plays period.

Talent overcoming coaching, but it’s no way to win a game.

It would be incredibly Detroit of Detroit to be a legitimately good team and yet find a way to lose to a bad Bears team on Thanksgiving anyway.

They definitely have a chance despite looking utterly terrible for the whole of the 1st half.

Wow. That's some of the worst clock management I've ever seen.
