The NFL Thread

I like Foles, he’s not top class but under the right system would be very good. I think he’s a perfect pick for the Saints and would suit Payton’s scheme well.

Asking him to be Mahomes seems to be where the Bears have gone wrong.

People see what they want to see. Wentz was a good franchise QB who might return to previous heights in the right environment. Foles won the Eagles a Superbowl. Both teams might think they have their QB, and both will probably be wrong.
Foles wouldn't be going to Philly to be a starter. Wentz would have been the league MVP in 2017 and there wouldn't have been a SB without him. There's a lot of water gone under the bridge, I won't bore you with a breakdown, but I'd be amazed if that player is still there. Best case they are getting a second quartile starter, more likely a fumbling, over throwing, arrogant, unaccountable dickhead

Chris Wesseling from the Around the NFL podcast has lost his battle with cancer. Gutted. RIP Wess
Utterly devestated by this, heard it last night and whilst I didn't know Chris, I felt like I knew him as listen to the show for 6 years or so, and would speak to him on twitter, and just loved the guys energy and stories. Barely slept, I can't think of anything that is similar in terms of how upset I have been over the loss of someone you have never met, I think only Senna who was one of my heroes as a kid, but I didn't have any of the overwhelming sadness I have today thinking about how awful it must be for his wife, his co-hosts/best friends, his brothers.

Tough to call, like everyone I can't stand Brady, but I also find it difficult to want a team to win who have stood by a known multiple domestic abuser, who has broken his 3 year old child's arm (allegedly *cough cough). Fuck both teams, I hope they both lose...

There's also obviously the home advantage for the Buccs and, let's be honest, it seems almost destiny for them to win, and Brady to win and retire on the field.

Still not over the Championship round then?

Right, I've got me cheesy nachos, I've got some "American" "beer" (Goose Island Midway IPA and Bud Light), let's Super Bowl!

Great day to start my week of nights... No train until 1am now so lets get it on!

Sadly no beer though

3 and out on the Bucks opening drive, good stuff...

3 and out for the Chiefs too

Oof, these penalties are killing the Chiefs...
