The NFL Thread

Unreal from Mahomes. Going to try and not stay up for the whole of the late game but I can’t make any guarantees.

That pundit's little finger freaks me out! Obviously broke it bad.

Feck!!

My little finger looked like that after a superb save at the feet of a forward in a school game. I had surgery to rebuild the knuckle and got the whole finger pinned. Amazed that a hugely paid American football player didn't do similar!

Really frustrating from the Packers so far. Up at 0600 so not sure how much I’ll be able to watch.

To be fair niners have been right in Rogers face just been sacked big time.

Niners ripping the Packers a new orifice, cannot stop the run.

Just caught up with the NFL action Mahomes had a hell of a night, I’d say the 49’ers are in for a tough night at the Super Bowl

Chiefs run defence is not usually that good but they really got their act together yesterday to stop Henry. Will need to keep that up against the 49ers, but the main event will be Chiefs offensive line against Bosa and co. If he has time, Mahomes will find open receivers; but 49ers are as good as any at not giving opposing quarterbacks that freedom.

Chiefs currently slight favourites but I suspect a lot of smart money will go on the 49ers.

Looks like a really good match up for the Super Bowl. Definitely the 2 best teams IMO.

Not definitely, I don't think. Baltimore has to be in that conversation, regardless of the manner of their exit.

Messed up my flight bookings for next week and have now found myself with nothing to do in Chicago next Sunday.

If I went to a sports bar to watch the Super Bowl will it be any good for a very casual NFL viewer? Quite like NFL, but no idea what is going on (could say this for football too tbf).

I'd say it's definitely worth it. Used to enjoy going into Pittsburgh to watch it, always had a good laugh with the locals. Although for the length of time the Super Bowl is on for you'll probably be pissed by HT.

Any predictions for tomorrow?

Chiefs still 1.5 point favorites, and almost everyone I have spoken to would like them to win. But when it comes down to great offence against great defence, then more often than not the defence comes out on top.

49ers will dominate time of possession, and if they can make it 40 mins - 20 mins, I think they will win - but 35-25 will not be enough.

The over/under is at 54 points, and I think 49ers win a low scoring game, Chiefs win if there are more points scored.

If I had to guess I would say 49ers win 20-17, but I hope I'm wrong.

I reckon KC will win in a high scorer. 34-31
