The NFL Thread

I think that'll be 'at least'. Wouldn't be too surprised to.see him banned for next season too, maybe charged with assault as well. He should be. What a piece of human excrement.
Absolutely zero chance he misses the entirety of next season. None.

I think you're right, but I have heard talk of a year long ban which would take him until halfway through next season. Which would be about right I believe for what he did.

I can see how he wouldn't want to be part of a circus, this wasn't the way to go about it though. Even the Roots TV shirt seems unnecessary.

He had to do something as the NFL had set him up to fail. I thought he got it right and told his story with his supporters rather than the NFL telling him what to say and do. The whole waiver signing is very dodgy.

The BBC Sport reporting of this story is disgraceful.

The bit that doesn't sit comfortably with me is that 25 teams made the effort, 19 of those couldn't or wouldn't go to the revised venue with an hours notice. I didn't think he'd get a team out of this anyway, but that's not done a lot to ingratiate himself.

The guy the Eagles sent who did make it is the number 2 behind the GM and number 1 in talent evaluation so suggests serious interest. They will need a new backup QB next year and he'll suit that, be interesting to see if that kind opportunity is one he'd go for with the pay which that will attract

This week is part of the continuing saga that reaffirms every Sunday that the Redskins are really REALLY fucking shite.

Ah - I yearn for a Riggins, for a Theismann...

Redskins - No TDs from anyone in 3 and a half games. Jesus wept. Even the Jets and Dolphins get a couple now and then.

And when the Jets are burning you, you know you are shit.

Very naughty helmet to helmet challenge in the Lions - Cowboys game. The Cowboy was already in the endzone as well. Should be an ejection.

I cannot believe how fucking bad we are. We make Stoke of the holocaust season look like Real Madrid.

Lamar Jackson is on fire literally, surely MVP this year

I agree, that argument is long gone and there's still a long way to go. I just think if they keep going at the same pace the existing superstar rather than up and coming one will get the nod

Wilson isn't even close IMO. He's put up good numbers but Lamar is exceptional.

Mccaffrey really should be in the top 3 with Lamar and Russ.

Rodgers is a joke. He was terrible first half of the season.

I’d be annoyed as a Ravens fan if we don’t make the championship game with the current form

Ravens will be in the Superbowl. No one yet has figured out how to stop their rushing attack and it gives Jackson the chance to throw all day. They look unstoppable right now.
