The NFL Thread

The Thursday night games are live for Amazon Prime customers. I've tried twice to watch but being I've fallen asleep before it starts both times.

Still overthrows on occasions, but has cut out the panicking interceptions, has the best 3rd down conversion in the NFL and makes some of the kind of plays you see from Rodgers when being pressured out of the pocket.

I'd have Carolina as the 3rd best team in the NFC south. I didn't really see them as rivals for the division and still don't. Eagles look good, but I wouldn't say they've played anyone particularly good yet.

Panthers just on the back of away wins in Detroit and New England so not shoddy form. I agree though other than them the only other quality side the Eagles have played is Kansas City which was a defeat. Also worth noting that 4 of the 6 games have been away

I backed the Eagles to win their first four games at 20/1. Of course they came up against the only unbeaten team in the NFL in that run and have won every other game.

Got my team in. Thought about it quite a lot so I look forward to finishing bottom.

I put mine in yesterday and am quite happy with it. Decent matchups, good volume of targets/carries. Never bodes well...

Just need to resist the urge to tinker now.

Bears determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

Phew! Well done Trubisky, first NFL win

Falcons gift a win to Miami. Some brain dead play from players on defence keeping Miami drives, and then well inside FG range in the last minute to tie, Ryan decides to throw an INT. Joke

Lovely to see the Vikes beat the packers, a bit marred by the Rodgers injury but we were missing Bradford, Diggs and Cook as well as Barr and Sendejo on defence so I'll definitely take a win

Bradford injury is rumoured to be career threatening. He's got Matt Murray knees unfortunately.

Big Kev has died :(

"We are shocked & saddened to hear of the death of Kevin Cadle, a great friend of #NFLUK for so long. Our thoughts are with his loved ones."

Sky's coverage was much better with him on it.

Terrible news. Never knew where he went the last few years. He popped in and did a couple a few seasons ago but was only a one off.

Lovely and emotional tribute from Neil Reynolds on Twitter which is worth looking up. Kev leaving is the reason I went to Red Zone rather than the live game on Sky

Very sad news. A superb anchor for UK NFL coverage and he will be sorely missed.

Indeed. That Dara woman they had doing it was terrible. So much so that Reynolds does it all now.

I thought Kev did a game or two around Christmas last year.
