The NFL Thread

Two TD's and both around 30 yard throws. Makes the Bradford trade look even better value....yes, I know it's the Browns!

I should take umbrage at your remarks, but unfortunately its true, looks like its going to be another very long season for the Browns

The Browns suck big time. Maybe not as much as last season but they'll still be rock bottom.

Peterson seemed very quiet for the Vikings.

The play calling doesn't help. It was very predictable yesterday but he had one of his worst games think he averaged like 1.8 yards per carry, but because they stacked the box Hill had a reasonable game. Titans made it very easy to throw against.

RGIII out for at least 4 weeks and maybe the season with a broken bone in his shoulder

Josh McCown. Hmmmm. He'll probably do just as good a job as RGIII did.

Anyone ever played fantasy on DraftKings? I managed to win $15 over three contests last night on my first go. I can see me spending/losing a lot of money on there!

Another great win for the Vikings.

Tough game again next week in Carolina but would have taken 2 and 1 from those first 3 games all day.

Plenty hinges on Peterson's injury I'd say.

I don't think it does really. The defense is in the top 5 in the NFL easily and that's what gives us a chance in any game.

Peterson is becoming less of a factor recently. He hasn't had many yards at all first 2 games and we have won both. I'd rather see what we can do with a more pass focused offence - I think Bradford can do well with the likes of Rudolph and Diggs to aim at, but the O line must play much better or Bradford will get hurt.

Maybe but there are also times when he'll win you a game on his own, slow start or not.

Definitely, it's nice not to have to rely on him though. Not too long ago if Peterson was out the Vikings were terrible.

I do like Diggs though. He looks decent.

Bradford and Diggs could be a vey good combination. I could see McKinnon getting decent yards if Peterson is out as teams won't focus as much on run defence as they seem to do against AP. Still a big blow if he's out for a while though. Not a good day for running backs with Martin, Stewart, Foster and Woodhead all out injured early last night

Running backs always seem to break at some point. I'm not wholly sold on Bradford, I'm not sure if he's just a Joe Flacco clone, which in itself isn't a bad thing just not great.

Some RB's had brilliant days, the TD from Gore (Colts) and the sheer brute force of David Johnson for the Cards was a good watch. I didn't see Murray play for the Titans and barring his safety which was very funny his highlights reel against the Lions is pretty good.

Not NFL but SEC (College football), a colleague of mines son has broke into the Tennessee Vols team, scored a TD at "The Battle of Bristol" game last weekend 156,000 people in attendance for a college game is quite something!

Well done mate. Well him not you.

Yeah College Football is supposedly the biggest watched sport live in the US I think.

Must be, attendances over 100,000 are the norm at a lot of stadiums.

Yeah, his mom was pretty happy that he chose The Vols as they are native Tennesseans. He's a converted QB, but with Dobbs playing there this season (and last) Butch Jones converted him to play offense.
And as for attendance, the game was played at the Bristol Speedway, a massive complex converted to a football field just for this 1 off game which broke the record for college football attendance.
