The Nerdy Dr Who Geekfest Thread

Here is a picture of the $#@!test Dr Who monster ever to shut you both up.

My apologies,I'm still learning when to shut up on this forum. They don't let me out much you see..

Not a problem. Would you like another picture of a shit Dr Who monster?

These are called Zarbi.

They used to bump into the cameras as they weren't easy to see out of. The noises they made were hysterical - a bit like a malfunctioning doorbell. Underwater.

They certainly look up for some action and fun.

I never got to experience (the classic) Doctor Who when I was a kid, wasn't shown here in Norway back then.We only had one channel. ;)

It's utterly awesome in a very camp, quintessentially British way.

My favourite Dr Who stories of all time are from the classic series.

I've been thinking about buying DVDs,do you know if everything is available on DVD?

(I know some are).

Not everything - unfortunately some early adventures are lost forever. But a lot of them are out now. All my favourites are, anyway.

The early Tom baker stuff had some brilliant stories:
Ark in space, robots of death, seeds of doom, genesis, talons of weng chiang, pyramids of mars, planet of evil amongst them. A little bit of plagiarism on occasion but great writing all the same.

They weremy favourite ever episodes, loved them!

I have 3 stories I list every time as my favourites(in no particular order,it changes):The Girl in the Fireplace,The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and Blink.

All Moffat stories,it's puzzling/strange/whatever how his stories changed when he became show runner...

Those, and Family Of Blood are amonst my favourites. The Empty Child is spooky.

He's a bit of a nasty fucker when he wants to be...

The Human Nature/Family of Blood double header was great. And it REALLY helped the build up to Utopia which is one of my favourite episodes of 'New Who'. Derek Jacobi as the Master? What a treat!!

My favourite 10 stories?

Genesis of the Daleks (T Baker)
The Caves of Androzani (Davison)
The Daemons (Pertwee)
Inferno (Pertwee)
The Sea Devils (Pertwee)
The War Games (Troughton)
Pyramids of Mars (T Baker)
Logopolis (T Baker)
The Pirate Planet (T Baker)
The Invasion (Troughton)

I particularly liked Silence in the Library - one of my favourite two parters. Otherwise, your list is a pretty fair representation of the past of the new Who!

New episode was great! :) I'd rate it better than the last two!
