Unfortunately, the only time I've seen Tom Baker on screen was as the Curator. Only started watching Doctor Who a few years ago, after I got a random Matt Smith episode on tv (The Big Bang). Went back and saw everything from 2005 'till now. Tried a few classic stories, watched a bit of Hartnell, the War Games story. I think I saw a couple episodes of Pertwee and then watched The Five Doctors story. bBut it just didn't click.

Not because of the stories mind, but the real bad video quality and I think I missed the soundtrack the most.

Don't mind discussing Who with anyone though.

Last night's episode was absolutely fantastic. They got the tone absolutely spot on - despite it being an emotive subject. Whittaker and Walsh in particular nailed it. Very well written - the last few minutes in particular were tremendous.

I'm liking how they're not putting the Tardis crew at the very centre of everything, meaning they have to change things to save the world etc etc - it makes the universe and history itself seem far bigger to have them as bystanders.

Spent most of the Rosa episode praying that there was no attempt to nudge Rosa to take action and what a pay off it provided. It would have been so easy to mess that story up and it ended up as one of the strongest, most thoughtful stories in this new reboot...or any other Who series. Thought the first episode was pretty standard post regeneration fare but to pull something like this out so early has set a pretty high bar for the rest of the series.

I hadn't watched Dr Who since Tom Baker apart from an occasional look. As there is crap all else on at that time on a Sunday we started watching this series from the beginning and we're quite enjoying it, like all the characters/actors, the story lines are enjoyable and I really like that there is one complete story per episode

That episode could have been a total disaster, but they stuck the landing in a way I really didn't expect.

The scene on the bus, with Bradley Walsh realizing that he had to be part of the problem, is one of the best scenes Doctor Who's ever had.

This is like the wife and me.

What an excellent episode, brilliantly acted and a pretty brave thing to do from the writers. Kudos to Bradley Walsh, that was outstanding.

Really enjoyed the last two episodes.

Rosa was such a good episodes, feels like one of those you get people to watch when they haven't seen the show. Together with Blink, Vincent and the Doctor and Listen.

As for the Arachnids, seemed to me something more alinhamento to the breath before the plunge. We get a Nice, easy plot and, more importantly, back story and development for the characters.

Meh,on the episode tonight,best bit was Fortean times getting a mention,thinking that Jodie Whittaker doesn't feel like she's right for the role,could be the writing,could be something else,I dunno,I'll keep watching though because the options are generic "talent" shows

Went to the Space Centre in Leicester today and there was a Dr Who event on. It was awesome! My stepdaughter is also a big Dr Who fan so we had a great time, got photos with K9, a Dalek, Cyberman (not THAT one...), Sontaran, Silence, Sea Devil, Davros (in character...) and several more.

Such a great event - saw Colin Baker, Paul McGann and David Bradley as well.

I also have a photo of an ice warrior giving a cyberman a cuddle.

Space centres ace,I got stuck in the wormhole there the once,the other coach driver I was with,bet me I couldn't get through,ended up him and a staff member having to grab my legs and pull,the sewage museum next door is worth a visit as well,loads of steam pumping engines

Quite liked the last episode, it has suddenly gotten interesting!

Yeah, I thought it was fantastic. It's already a better series than the last one, although it needs to be more consistent - Orphan 55 was one of the worst episodes since the show returned in 2005!

But this one was definitely the best of the Chibnall era so far - hope they keep it up.
