The Music Thread Strikes Back

I remember really liking it when it came out so added it to my music library. I deleted it after about 2 weeks because apart from a couple of really good tracks, I found most of it extremely tedious!

I wish American tax money went to something half as dope as this. Certified Public Funding Banger 🔥🔥🔥

Great to see a little REM comeback, all be it for 1 song last night where all 4 of the band played together for the first time since 2007. Little acoustic Losing my Religion as part of their induction in song writers hall of fame.

Gutted I never got to see 4 of them in concert, as my gigs came after Bill Berry became a farmer.

A very very very slim chance they will ever do any sort of comeback and that's probably for the best but if they did I would go even if Jeff Shi was in charge of the ticket pricing

A poolside earworm to counteract the shitty holiday toons

Great night at Hampden last night, Foos were good as ever.
Support bands were decent I thought, local band Honeyblood got the show of to a great start and Courtney Barnett was also excellent
Not sure I'll bother going to any more stadium gigs, it's just too big for my taste, although I said that after Metallica at Wembley years ago and also Rush at the NEC years before that.

Foos were epic in Brisbane last year. Stadium gigs lose intimacy obviously but I don't mind them overall. Floor general admission tickets for an arena like I had for Sabbath at the NEC is probably my favourite. Small clubs were great 30 years ago when I wanted to spend hours stage diving and in a mosh pit but I think I am a bit long in the tooth for that shit now.

No doubt a floor ticket would have helped but I couldn't afford/justify the cost over a seated ticket

A little You Tube plug if its ok. If anybody like me likes 90s indie then give me a sub and a few likes. Please x

30 years ago today was The Wonder Stuff's Big Day Out at Bescot Stadium. Still one of my favourite gigs ever. And one of the wettest!

Saw Green Day at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. They played the whole of Dookie and American Idiot, in full plus about 8 other tracks - absolutely fantastic gig.

I hurt from moshing today, a 40 something year old bloke should know better..... 😂
Would have liked to go to that but Saint after Foo Fighters, love Dookie.

Missed out on Foo Fighters so that wasn't an issue for me!
It was great seeing Dookie in full, including "All by myself" - with Tré Cool resplendent in a dressing gown and pajamas!

33 years? If it was the one I was at it was dry by the the time I got there and The Wonder Stuff were on.

Yeah, 33, my mistake. It was raining when they started I thought? Didn't they have some electrical issues due to the weather?
