The Music Thread Strikes Back

That revue reads like it was written by someone who learned journalism at college one evening a week :)

review you mean.

don't worry Paul, I don't think that site (or the album) is one for you

Decided to listen to some soundtracks today as I work.

First up is Kill Bill vol 1 - an absolutely superb soundtrack (Tarantino's usually are). Up there amongst my very favourites - any other recommendations?

Love the Easy Rider soundtrack (and film).
The soundtrack to Stand By Me is awesome too, but short. 28 mins I think.
Good Morning Vietnam soundtrack could be fun.
Judgement Night OST is very different.

If you want a varied theme the Late Night Tales at the movies version has a lot of stuff on it.

Oh and not exactly OST, but Buena Vista Social Club.

Junkie XL's computer broadcasts from the hell cabin/radio JXL cds have been getting a lot of listens from me recently. The bonus disc is magic! There's a 20 min section that I have to get up and move around to!

I have also been listening to a fair amount of Josh Ritter. Fantastic songwriter!

Baby Driver and Drive (the Zane Low version) are good listens IMO.

The Baby Driver soundtrack is the best part of 2 hours.

Trainspotting is a great soundtrack but you need the CD (lol) or a proper digital download really. Streaming services don't carry a load of the tracks.

Easy Rider and Trainspotting are excellent shouts - got both of those.

Not heard the Baby Driver soundtrack so I'll give that a go.

Judgement Night has an outstanding soundtrack

1. "Just Another Victim" Helmet and House of Pain 4:23
2. "Fallin'" Teenage Fanclub and De La Soul 4:28
3. "Me, Myself & My Microphone" Living Colour and Run DMC 3:10
4. "Judgement Night" Biohazard and Onyx 4:35
5. "Disorder" (Medley of 3 Exploited songs: "War", "UK '82", and "Disorder") Slayer and Ice-T 4:58
6. "Another Body Murdered" Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. 4:24
7. "I Love You Mary Jane" Sonic Youth and Cypress Hill 3:52
8. "Freak Momma" Mudhoney and Sir Mix-A-Lot 4:00
9. "Missing Link" Dinosaur Jr. and Del the Funky Homosapien 3:59
10. "Come and Die" Therapy? and Fatal 4:27
11. "Real Thing" Pearl Jam and Cypress Hill 3:33

Doesn't sound like my sort of thing TBH mate :icon_lol:

There are some really interesting collaborations on there. Artists I never thought would work in partnership but somehow do.

Used to love that album.

after the good news about the trail of dead album, there's some more albums added onto the timburgess twitter thing since i last looked - murder capital, glasvegas, the specials! and the great frightened rabbit album, midnight organ fight and the fannies - bandwagonesque. plus one of my first loves, soul mining by the the. plenty more besides those.

and looks like they may be doing the classic chameleons trio now starting with script of the bridge.

Time after time I keep coming back to Gary Numan, I don't know why, every month I have a session on Youtube of the 'industrial' versions of his classics
