The Music Thread Strikes Back

Anyone seen this? Vote for your album of the 90's

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/gjngFgdd8BH9X5mGzwQrRq/your-ultimate-90s-album-vote

And yes, I'm sure there'll be loads of 'why isn't x/y/z on there?' posts but interested in who voted and for which album.

I went for Definitely Maybe out of that lot, as tempting as it was to go with Stars by Simply Red*

I saw this but didn't bother. So many great artists, but in many cases not their greatest albums (of the 90s).

No Black Album is a bit fucking silly. 25.2m copies sold and rated comfortably within the top 500 albums of all time lists.

Of that list I would go with Nevermind, but omitting The Black Album renders the whole thing stupid.

Regular as clockwork :icon_lol:

Some excellent albums on there. One I had completely forgotten about was 'Achtung Baby', U2 are a bit of a joke now but that was a great album.

Voted for The Score.

Parklife is definitely Blur's most successful album of the 90s. Best known as well. Not sure it's actually the best one though.

I agree with this. I'd have gone for the Prodigy's Music for the Jilted Generation had it been on there but as it is Morning Glory off that list.

OK Computer or Dookie

Parklife.

Reminds me of 6th form so it screams 90s to me.

And yes it is their best album!

The best album of the 90s was The Bends.
And no, Parklife (as much as it does scream 6th form) is not Blur's best album...

Bends was my second choice. My favourite Radiohead album.

i'd choose ok computer too

it's not a very inspiring list

I know, where's ANThology right?!!

I'd rate Blur above Parklife, though I love them both.

When you compare to the previous three decades, weren't the 90's shit !
