The Music Thread Strikes Back

I'll have a read of it once I've got my housecoat on.

(We actually do have a fax at work that some customers still use...!)

Our office retired ours a few years ago now. Only had one instance where we've needed it since. RIP noisy old thing

I was gonna offer you support t-dan, but see it was you who reminded deutsch about the housecoat business, so instead gonna hope you crash and burn...

Will be at this venue on Friday Night, with the Deutsch, to see Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott have a bit of a sing. If Manchester can have a night off from the rain it will be hugely appreciated

Well up for this.

And it's going to be dry!

I wasn't sure which thread to stick this on but I guess he counts as a musician...I never knew how batshit crazy Jim Corr was until seeing his tweets highlighted yesterday.

He is an anti-vaccine, anti-abortion, climate change denying Trump supporter. It seems like he holds the opposite opinion to me on everything I believe in. What a guy.

The Man Corr, call him by his name.

He's clearly mentally scarred by everyone ignoring him for like his whole life.

Anyone spotted the Wolves flag at Glastonbury yet?

It's there tonight.

Turned on earlier to see Janet Jackson... Erm what? Who the hell listens to Janet Jackson?

Killers on now and the lead singer really can't sing live.

I've heard much worse big name singers live....thought he made a pretty good fist of 'this charming man' with Jonny Marr

There were four Wolves flags in the Pyramid pit.

Chemical Brother played a superb set yet again, lightshow is pretty mind blowing. Hard to believe that its 25 years since I got their first album.

Seeing them again this year, looking forward to it

They were fantastic weren't they.

I really enjoyed The Killers encore.
Looking forward to The Cure tonight, I hope Robert goes greatest hits

I enjoyed the Cure, but didn't feel the audience were on board until the encore. I guess its difficult playing songs which are older than most of the people watching them.

Yeah, fuck 'em... Bloody philistines!
Saw Madness yesterday and loved it but the "kids" at the front hadn't a bloody clue apart from 2 songs and just stood there, leaning on the rail.
We managed to get almost to the front and had a good old dance

I like The Cure as a band, but most of the songs are so, so dreary and sound the same.
