Charlie Adam the new Fleetwood boss

As he is part of the team recruiting the next manager will he interview himself?

Unconfirmed reports that Rooney has left Birmingham

He should never have joined. But I’m not surprised it turned into a disasterscape.

I'm just disappointed they didn't keep him for longer. One season they have to drop to League One, they have lingered in the bottom half for years.

The new owners have started putting money in haven’t they? You’d think they’ll probably be fine in terms of relegation as long as they stay up this year

Bizarre appointment from the off. Great players usually fail as managers. Pep and Cruyff the notable examples both of whom were intelligent students of the game. Rooney was one of the last street footballers, supremely naturally gifted and physically strong. He never had to think about the game and showed no interest in making any sacrifices to enhance or prolong his career. Only in the un-meritocratic world of football management would he be considered for a job at a decent sized club. And only when you've had people telling you you're awesome from the age of 8 would you have the confidence to take it.

Zidane seems to have a stonking record as a manager. More to do with the ridiculous team he was managing though.

Bar that - Beckenbauer but I think he only did the German National team I could be wrong. The manager of Brazil 1970 was in the team in 1958 and 1962 - Zagallo

I'll stick Ancelotti in there too

10 points from 15 games? Seen that somewhere before
