Yeah, they also lost 4-0 to Leicester around the same time and looked quite badly out of their depth. They were looking to boot him out at the time weren't they? There seemed to be a period where he was on the brink but then surprisingly signed a new deal.
Nuno apparently got a huge bonus if he signed before Christmas, it’s known as the Santo clause
I think that's a bit harsh. His interview said he was at FGR as a coach and wasn't looking to start his career there, more to learn.Looks like Troy Deeney is getting the Forest Green job. Bit of a snake Garry Monk at Swansea move.
It's been 4 1/2 years, but it's still too soon for me to wish him well. Still scarred.I think that's a bit harsh. His interview said he was at FGR as a coach and wasn't looking to start his career there, more to learn.
If that was his opportunity then he had to take it. He may not get another one. I have admiration for Deeney, as his desire to start at the bottom and learn is admirable and something all aspiring managers should look to do.
It'll be interesting to see how it goes for him.
Dave Jones had a decent gut on him.Just made me realise, we've never had a properly big fat manager in my time. McGhee would be closest.
