he's developed a bit of a habit of going to clubs in a mess. Is it because he's that desperate to work?
felt he did ok at leeds and blues tbh.

Could be a bit of going in and if he turns them round he gets a reputation of being the go to man to turn badly run clubs round, stays in regular work, or turns up, fails badly, gets a big cash payout kerching! And onto the next one

Wednesday in talks with Tony Pulis :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Paul Cook as well.

Along with links to P-Nev and Sol Campbell.

Cook must be the front runner from that lot (although Sol did a great job at Macc Town)

Wonder if Nigel Pearson applied - he's been very ill this year but is looking to get back in plus he played for Wednesday

The Paul Lambert credit for everything criticism for nothing merchant.

Monk is a charlatan. Dropped Leeds Hoddle style and spent a fortune at Boro failing miserably. Hes on a par with Rowett

Derby pull the trigger on Philipe Cocu

They've said "mutual agreement" and could actually be the case here. Cocu had to deal with some very difficult circumstances but things had gone terribly this season. Probably glad to get out and make way for whoever the new owners want in, good chance they end up in League One.

Derby fans all seem to have a pretty positive opinion of Cocu even if the consensus is it was correct to sack him. Imagine it's hard to find success when you're forced to build a team around Wayne Rooney.

Rooney will be the new manager knew way or another. Morris stays then because they can't afford anyone else. Sheikh comes in then because it's your classic glamour managerial appointment

Stephen kenny could be in trouble with ROI for an apparent motivational video shown prior to the England game apparently some of the Ireland players weren’t to happy with it.

Intriguing... Tell me more

Very sketchy details at the moment the content is unknown apparently some saw it as just a pro Ireland video whereas some were shocked. Reality is if some were shocked then it has to be taken seriously can’t be ignored.

Well if there’s any truth in that article it’s just sheer stupidity from Kenny especially considering some of his squad are English born. Mixing political history with sport is never a good thing.

He's so out of his depth they will need a submarine to find him.
Nice guy, but completely found out at this level.

I can't say Im surprised but i did expect more from him. Or even a second goal at least...

Looks like he is stopping, will get a reprimand to be careful in future, but seems the video was 2 and half minutes showing famous Irish goals v England Houghton, Sheedy etc, (surprised it came to 2 & half minutes), then 30 seconds of how Ireland overcame a bigger foe when the odds were against them etc, with a bit about the easter rising which the Mail said was the problem (FFS some people on here jumped on a bandwagon stated by the Mail, you need to take a long hard look at yourselves).

So far none of the players have come forward with an issue about it, it was a bit cringyworthy if anything, wasnt as if he had them all on chairs shouting IRA chants (to be honest hasnt been much appetite in the squad for that since Declan left for pastures knew).
Seems one of th senior members of staff didnt want it played and complained and leaked the story as either he wants Kenny gone, or is one of the coaching staff who wants the senior gig, we will know soon enough when they leave by mutual consent before Christmas (my money is on someone who appears on the ex-wolf watch).

Should he have done it definately not for variety of reasons but it as behind close doors and it wasnt as if he insulted England by calling them a shitty country like another coach said about Ireland (lets call him Eddie).

As for DDW comments, sorry mate but what a pile of shite, this was the shit pundits like McAteer, Babb, McGrath, Aldridge etc were sayign before a ball was kicked because Kenny didnt come up the traditional way.

Anybody he hasnt picked who he should have? No
Would we have done any better with O'Neill or Mick in charge? Very unlikely we have been on a downhill slope since 2012 with the odd good win here and there to paper over the cracks and since we beat Italy reserves at Euros 2016, despite the millions we paid O'Neill, Keane and Mick only decent result we got was in Wales with a real smash and grab job.

As for goals since we beat Moldova in 2017 only time we have scored two goals in a competitve game was in one match against Gibralter, last Euro qualifieers in a group with Gibralter and Georgia we scored 7 goals in 8 games. When McGoldrick retiring is seen as a blow as he is your main striker, you know you are in trouble.

We are just not very good, but the pundits just say with Mick and o'Neill they havent got the players, but with Kenny they say he is out of his depth becuase he is not part of the old boys club. Although the results are the same and he is trying to play football.

Fact is he has had 1 competitive match (which should have won, 6 glorified friendlies and 1 friendly against superior opposition with a squad which has been decimated with players dropping out with Covid.

Needs to give him a chance with a proper campaign to see how he gets on.

I have no dog in this fight, but this is where their starting 11 came from on Wednesday

West Ham reserves
Albion
Celtic
Burnley reserves
Swansea
Derby
Villa reserves
Burnley reserves
Wycombe
Luton
Portsmouth

The reserves comments exaggerate the point, but they aren't in the first 11

He's trying to get them to knock the ball around a lot more than they did, sad to say but Mick's second spell was dreadful on every conceivable level, a waste of everyone's time and unfortunately he looked like a man way way past his time.

Problem is you could find an Irish De Bruyne and Thiago from somewhere, wouldn't matter as they have absolutely no-one to score goals. David Connolly was no world beater, just a good Championship level striker. He would be their best option now by a ridiculous length if he appeared out of a time machine from 1998.

Absolutely agree, we are absolutely shorn for strikers, hope is one of the young players coming through Parroy, Connelly, Idah will fill the gap.

He is trying something new and because it isn't working some people just pile in straight away overlooking the lack of quality, need to look long term which he is trying to do.

Alternative is caveman football where we will lose anyway, we haven't even got a big target man to lump it up to.
